We are building a platform where trading works as a sporting contest: equal starting conditions, real prices, verifiable settlement and no capital at risk.
Anyone who wants to start trading faces an uncomfortable choice: either you risk real money from day one, or you practise in a demo account where nothing is at stake and therefore nothing sticks. Neither reflects what actually matters.
We were curious what happens if you build the third path: a round with a clear start and end, the same conditions for everyone, and a result measured against other people rather than an abstract number. The stake is virtual, the ranking is not.
Ringside grew out of that. We keep building it because we enjoy it ourselves and because we believe competition is a more honest teacher than a demo account without consequences.
Anyone playing a round should know beforehand how it is settled. Rules, stakes and fees are stated openly on the site, not in a footnote.
Every movement in the system consists of counter-entries that cancel to zero, and it is checked continuously. Balance cannot appear out of nowhere.
As long as the platform runs on virtual money, we say so clearly. We do not pretend this is about building wealth.
What comes next, and which questions we have to settle before any real-money operation, is laid out openly on the roadmap page.
